This review is about my attendance on 20.11.2017. I was applying for the landlord to remove rubbish which had been thrown in my side yard by another tenant, and for compensation under s. 209 of the Residential Tenancies Act. Much to my surprise, the member ruled that I was entitled to make this application, and that a breach had occurred, but failed to award me compensation! I couldn't believe it! If you read my other reviews you will see I have failed to get compensation for other incidents and in this case we see that even when it is established that a breach has occurred, I still don't get compensation! What more could I have done???!!! I think the ruling was unjust because of the suffering this rubbish caused, the embarrassment it caused to my daughter and I, and the way we had to adjust our lifestyle because of it- I didn't feel comfortable having visitors when the rubbish was there and didn't want to get anything delivered either (because of what the delivery person would think) and I would have told the member all of that but she didn't seem interested in the compensation aspect of my application. I think this ruling was unjust and unfair but I felt powerless to do anything about it. So all that suffering and embarrassment was borne by me and the landlord took no responsibility! Bad outcome!
