City of Port Phillip

This council has horrible and predatory tactics for issuing parking fines. Within mere minutes of most areas going free parking after 6pm they will attach fines to your car at 5:55pm. This means they have "officers" going out of their way to look for cars JUST before free street parking is available.

120 year old beautiful English elm tree in our back garden that covered four gardens and it was perfectly healthy. A property developer wanted it cut down in 2020 so he could develop the property next to ours. Port Phillip sent their Arborist out to assess it and he told us it was in great condition and it wasnt coming down. Three months later they cut it down. So much for being a green council. Its now 2023 and no development has even started. Such a waste of a stunning tree .

Poorly designed website and poor services. Unable to locate any useful information. Nor are we able to contact council via website or email. Incredibly frustrating process.

Tried to renew my parking permit. The website portal is the worst I have ever had to navigate. Failed every time I tried to pay. The current online website is atrocious. It did give me another option, that is, I can go to the council offices and pay my renewal there. PPCC must think we ratepayers have nothing else to do. I rarely give a one star, but with PPCC its the best rating I can give.

Hopeless ticketing council. Provide poor service for flatted price and waiting for you go away and ticket immediately. Just like dogs never give up food once bited
