Bungaree Cemetery

Never reviewed a cemetery before but here goes. Ive passed this small rural cemetery for years. On this gloomy day I decided to check it out. Entering through the wrought iron gates, it opens up to a beautiful flat, grassy area. surrounded by gum trees. There are 250 graves (guessing here).
Oh the lives and stories that these departed people would have from living in this district.
The graves are set out in an orderly fashion in rows, even the older ones. The oldest plaque I could find was 1910 but it really is quite more of a 1960s plus era from. The plaques I read.
Some are well loved. Some the family has long since gone. Some are just a small plaque in an allocated patch of grass and others are large memorials that are added to as family members die.
There is also a cremation wall which had about five slots used, the rest cobwebbbed awaiting to be filled.
There is an old dunny on site but not useable however, a port-a-loo is here if you need one.
Good parking out the front. Reasonably quiet and a nice place for reflection.
