Dr Amber Hart

We consulted Dr Amber Hart when our daughter was newborn (now 8 months) regarding a tongue tie. Looking back on our consult, I wanted to take the time to acknowledge what a fantastic service she provided to me as a first time mum. She is incredibly thorough and kind. She really took the time to get go know us and explain that her tongue tie was only mild and how this may / may not affect her now, and in the future. She wanted to make sure we were educated and explained that it was our decision. We did not get it cut and have had no further issues. She also helped with latching techniques and I have been very fortunate to continue having a wonderful Breastfeeding journey. We are very grateful for our consult with Dr Hart.

Dr Amber was great. Warm, down-to-earth, knowledgeable and practical. I really enjoyed my appointment with her and feel well equipped to feed my baby with an improved technique. Hopefully my oversupply and babys vomits should hopefully calm down with the action we discussed. Being told by midwives and our MCH nurse that my baby would for certain have to have procedures on her lip and tongue, Im relieved to know that it is likely not the case. The lip tie will just need to be monitored as it may cause dental issues, but we will see a dentist about all that. Also, loved the clinic decor & the realness regarding life with 3 children, Dr Amber! Will be back if need be, otherwise, all the best! Ill be sure to recommend friends to you.

I am a GP myself and I booked a zoom breastfeeding preparation class with Dr Hart before I had my second baby. It was the best step I had taken. From the time my son was born and did skin to skin, I applied the breastfeeding technique and it has been a dream. He is 1 week old now and feeds really well. Breastfeeding was and is pain-free and I never thought that was possible. I am so grateful for her expertise and lovely approach. This is in contrast to the nightmare I had with breastfeeding my first born where I had severe pain and cracked nipples for the first 6 weeks.

Dr Amber Hart is fantastic! After 7 weeks of constant breastfeeding pain that had me on the cusp of giving up, we were exclusively breastfeeding, pain free, within a week of our consult. 7 months later and were still going strong! Her advice is practical and empowering. We have also consulted for settling techniques and a breastfeeding return to work plan. Could not speak more highly-she really helped us turn a corner at a highly vulnerable, stressful time.

Dr Hart was marvelous - skilled, kind and holistic. She assessed our situation and provided training and resources that helped me to learn. I have seen 2 lactation consultants previous, but continued to have pain and recurrent mastitis for 10 weeks. With Dr Harts expertise, clear communication and flexibility, we were exclusively breastfeeding, pain free in a week!
