Woodlands Trail Riding (Riding Location)

I've never before had the kind of positive customer service I received today from the owners of Woodlands Lodge. I had a problem, which was my own fault, and their response was remarkable. As well as the kind regard they showed to me and my daughter, the horses were very well cared for, the riding was fun, and the knowledge and expertise of the staff was fantastic. I highly recommend Woodlands. We will be back!

We had a great solo trail ride, very experienced instructor who gave us the perfect amount of instruction and independence!

The horses appeared well kept and I only liked the riding aspect of the experience as I had little experience with horses. However, we were in a big group with a mix of friends with varying experiences in riding and many were disappointed as some were not given the option of a trot. Unfortunately the trail was not very interesting as it was just a walk around some empty paddocks. Also we were not able to have our phones with us during the ride as we were told we would get photos and videos taken by the instructors, but it was disappointing to see that we got no video and only one photo taken throughout the whole experience. Sadly, it was not what I expected.

Completed this yesterday with a large group of friends (had been looking forward to this for a loooong time) and we were all really dissappointed. Would not recommend. Horses looked well looked after but the saddle and equipment were very worn and old. The trail ride was not a trail, but a large walk around a square paddock. Minimal interaction from staff, not knowledgable about the horses, ages, backgrounds, age etc. We were told to stay off our phones, but the instructor next to us walking on her phone the whole time. Very grumpy staff and could tell did not want to be there. A friend with ++experience asked 3 times to join the galloping group was ignored and was told to rebook for a private class. The walk ans staff were boring and did not add to the experience. Unfortunately, would not recommend !!!
