Drove 17km out of our way as the website says it is open. Very disappointed to find it is now a private residence and closed. Please update.

With me being wheat intolerant, the Owner who greeted this stranger with a most cheerful, friendly smile, went out of her way to present me with a meal of grilled fish & salad which was enjoyable. My only regret: flake was the only fish option, which I find a tad dry & flavorless, preferring blue grenadeir or butterfish which are both moist & have their own individual flavour. And I fully appreciate small rural cafes, which have been seriously affected by Covid, do not have the capacity to carry a wide range of options. So 5 well-deserved stars under the circumstances.

We would recommend anyone travelling in this area to drop in for lunch or even a cuppa or a milkshake because tbe owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. The milk bar is exceptionally well decked out in the 50's decor. Loved it. And a message for the owner (your gift to me is a great talking point and memory jerker). This is the best decor of this era that we have seen.
