    Incompetence, Misleading Information and/or Hidden Agenda I am a first home buyer and purchased my block of land based on a thorough process with Metricon's sales representative. It enabled me to determine if building was a feasible option. An Estimate with a multitude of upgrades and detailed site costs was presented. I was advised that these site costs were determined after consultation with both the building and technical departments. It stated that the home, due to the cross fall, would require a substantial retaining wall up the LHS as well as edge beams throughout the slab on the RHS. A Geosite 3D plan was presented depicting what was to be done to the block and how the home was to be built. This was in November 2021. The site costs were listed as $31,290.00. I was advised that the only variable in this price would be the soil test which could not occur until settlement in June 2022. The Estimate was acceptable and was within my budget and so the land was purchased. I did not see any plans until July 2022. They were incorrect and did not reflect what was agreed upon with the sales representative. At this point the site costs were now listed as $50,403.00. This was without the substantial retaining wall up the LHS, which was part of the initial agreement. I was advised that if that was to be included, it could be an additional $25,000.00 - $30,000.00. Site costs had now ballooned to over $80,000.00. A 155% increase. Many people at Metricon, at a variety of levels, have just made excuses. I was kept away from anyone with actual authority though. I was offered a paltry $4,000.00 discount. It doesn't really help when Metricon is asking for a further $50,000.00 approximately. To this very day I have not seen the actual 3D Geosite house plans properly drawn, the ones for which I signed. All of this is able to be substantiated through an enormous amount of emails. I could continue with the extensive list of errors throughout the Studio M and Electrical documents but that would be arduous. Incorrect items, incorrect prices, incorrect colours, items omitted and incorrect details ... the list is endless. Is anyone held accountable? It doesn't appear to be that way. I am now unable to build and will be selling the block. My dream has been shattered by a company, whose so-called mantra is "loving where you live", which is supposed to be more than just a slogan. Metricon's actions certainly don't reflect its stated values. I have taken the time to pen this review, as it would be extremely sad for others to be impacted by a company which doesn't care.
