Dodgy dodgy dodgy..... 2 weeks after I purchased my Golf the DPF light came on. Needed to be replaced at $3000. I only paid $5000 for the car and No warranty for it.. surprise surprise and looking back that light was on when I test drove it. Paul said it was a light blown. Not even worth one star....

Fine to sell to, but not to buy from, dodgy roadworthy certificates being passed and sold on to the consumer to fix.

Here's my review after purchasing my car 4 years ago at Sell Your Car Melbourne. I purchased a 2001 Toyota Camry for $3500 (approx. 136,000km, new tires, stamp, 1 yr warranty, etc.) through Paul. I drove the car from Melbourne to Tasmania, Tasmania to Northern Queensland. Drove over 40,000km. To this date, my car runs healthy and didn't cause any major problems. When I visited Sell Your Car Melbourne, I was new to Australia. I didn't know much about cars as this was my first ever purchase. I honestly told Paul I know nothing about car apart from watching a couple of Youtube Clips. I told him I am looking for a car that can last a year without breaking down. He said this car will last a while without causing an issue. He was right! I heard many horror stories of people who purchased used cars and ended up paying so much more. There was a dodgy moment for deposit and noticing a 2000+km difference when I picked up my car after purchasing. However, based on how the last 4 years went with the car, I am glad that I purchased my first car in Australia through Sell Your Car Melbourne. It was a bargain to purchase a durable car that's low maintenance for such a low price. Paul put new tires for all 4 wheels + 1 spare. When I took my car for servicing and check up last year, a tire specialist said my tires are still good other than having a puncture that only costed $30 to fix. Whenever I drive, I feel very grateful. Thank you
