Had heard this is the place to go to have old gearboxes reconditioned. Initially helpful and confident to deliver. However had quoted on a particular rebuild and didnt complete as originally agreed. First rebuilt gearbox was noisy and second rebuilt which was excessively noisy too . Cant supply new gears despite having some NOS . Ended up having to buy a new gearbox from the Uk with brand new gear set . Left messages and wrote a letter but no response. A very expensive exercise not to mention the box in and out twice and again for the third box . Purchased from Heathrow Transmissions who have done a wonderful job and carries a 10,000 mile 12month warranty . I think OldCar Gearboxes tried hard but not hard enough on the replacement box .. should have been fitted with every new part possible including the gear set . I would never recommend them . It was a huge waste of money labour and time . Very nice people but at the end of the day I needed a new reconditioned gearbox and that was not delivered ;Beware .

Have had Ben build a gear box for me and he did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and has lots of experience. Highly recommended!
