Tried to call 1800 number (2 diff numbers listed). Neither work! Tried to send a message on the website rather than make this public and got an error so website not functioning either! Here was what I wanted to say: I tried to refill an Adjustable Grinder for Black Peppercorns to discover it is 'Disposable. Do not refill'. I know from a similar Saxa container that your argument might be 'sealed for freshness' but black peppercorns can be stored 3-4 years and remain at their best quality. The cynic in me wonders if this is a way of ensuring I keep buying the whole container rather than the cheaper refill packets but while I strive for zero waste I am far more likely to steer clear of a company that doesn't believe in minimising waste. Worst still, it can't even be recycled because the plastic and glass are bound together. Forgive me if your policies and packaging has changed since I bought the container a couple of years ago. Perhaps they are now all refillable? If your concern is that people refill the container with poorer quality peppercorns, could you add a disclaimer to the label: 'McCormick cannot be held responsible for contents if the container is refilled'? Hoping to hear good things about McCormick is doing for the environment.
