Eastern Gynaecology - Wong Melissa

Very dissapointed in the way I have been treated by this clinic. Having been told by my GP my matter was urgent and clearly stated on my referral, I called in October and was only able to be booked in for mid January. Very understanding of this, I asked to be placed on a wait list. They explained to me that Melissa Wong will triage my symptoms and decide whether I need to be seen sooner. Having not heard anything from them for 3 weeks, I called back to ask and they said I have not been triaged yet as I had not sent them back a new client form (which I was not told needed to be done prior to triage). Sent it back and again a week or so passed and nothing. Called them again to ask about my appointment to which I was told Melissa Wong didn't think it was necessary to be seen sooner. Again accepting of this, despite being told otherwise from my GP, I still asked to be placed on a wait list. Today the 5th of Jan, I receive a message to say my appointment has now been cancelled. On calling to discuss the matter the receptionist was not understanding, did not have any other option for me to see another Dr and was told I will now have to wait until April. This is now 6 months after I have presented my concerns to my GP. I was also then told I was never on a wait list as I was a new client, however I have been to this clinic in the past. The receptionist continued to tell me I hadn't been there and there was nothing they could do. Very abrupt and some what rude receptionists each time I called.

I have been going to Melissa Wong for years, I have had a number of procedures with her due to different issues. She is knowledgeable, caring and easy to talk to. She gives you options and I have always felt in the best care with her. I have recommended a few of my friends to her as well. Thanks Melissa and your amazing staff for your care!!!

Melissa is friendly but a few times I had consultation with her, she never remembered I had a test already and she kept suggesting it every session and I had to remind her I already had it. Also she didnt really give me options of treatments even though she said my problem was not severe. She said either try naturally for a long time or just go IVF. I went to another doctor for second opinion and surely they gave me more options than she has.

Melissa looks after many of my patients, and is very thorough and caring. I am happy to recommend her and share patient care with her.

I cant thank Dr Melissa Wong enough, she is an expert in the field Gynaecology field. I had previous surgeries with other doctors for my Endometriosis which made no difference and were very painful. Whereas, Melissa actually excised my endometriosis rather than using the ablation method. She is very knowledgeable, takes the time and actually listens to your opinions and questions. She helped both myself and my partner with his infertility aswell and we now have 2 beautiful healthy kids. My last surgery with Melissa was 7 years ago and this week I went back for my 2nd Surgery with her, I felt like a brand new person waking up so the a new lease on life. Both surgeries were done at Mitcham Private and I have absolutely no complaints. Thank you Melissa :)
