Paradigm Hill

A very very pleasant experience. Beautiful setting - we sat in the covered outdoor area with our dog yes, your pooch is lovingly welcomed by the owner, George. A small but interesting and well crafted suite of wines to taste. A little pricey but it reflects the small scale nature and level of craft put into the wines - ans it certainly didnt stop us buying a bottle of each we tasted! George was extremely generous with his time and a pleasure to chat with - his knowledge of wine and passion for his winery, family and life was obvious. Were so glad that we visited Paradigm Hill.

This was the first and only winery in our plans, but after going through the tasting we realized we should spend more time in the area. The person who served us was incredibly knowledgeable and was really passionate about the vineyard and others we could visit. She helped us narrow down which wines we liked and suggested another place nearby that had we had a great success at as well. This is one of the only places in the region making a Riesling.

Nice wines in a lovely setting. Its not quite in the top echelon of the Peninsula wineries for mine but it tries very hard. The tasting experience is carefully and skillfully managed and if you get a nice day the surroundings are idyllic. Weve been twice and have enjoyed the experience both times. Recommended.
