Andrew Heggie performed several complex surgeries on me in my late teens. While this was some 20 odd years ago, the experience was life changing in an incredibly positive way. He performed reconstructive surgery on both my upper and lower jaws that radically changed the shape of my face and corrected issues with my jaw joints that were deteriorating (due to an imbalance in both jaws). Going through adult life with the face Andrew Heggie gave me, versus the one I was born with, has been a great gift and I often think of him with gratitude. For whatever reason I thought to look him up and see if he was still practicing and wanted to post this review. Im happy to see his brilliant career continued in leaps and bounds, as it well should have.

Long waiting time for consultations despite arriving on time to appointments. Dr. Ruljancich has a poor interpersonal skills and barely said hello on the day of the surgery - in-fact I didn't even see his face for the entire appointment. Nursing staff had much more empathy. I was then forwarded a pathology invoice that the staff of this clinic assured me I must pay - even though any pathology costs, which was 1/3 of the entire treatment, were not made aware to me at any stage. I then discovered that this clinic had failed include any medicare details with the pathology request so thankfully no pathology payment was necessary (thanks to the kind person from the pathology lab for figuring this out). The incompetence and lack of understanding from Melbourne Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Dr. Ruljancich's team was astounding and I would not recommend them. Oh and I still have lip numbness and scarring from a very minor surgery. Wish I had gone elsewhere!
