AMAZING! Absolutely Awesome! I entered my room to find a handwritten card and Lindt chocolates from the manager welcoming me, very nice touch! It's such a charming old hotel, huge room, wonderful service, great value and in a top location. I thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful old building, in a location convenient for my trip. Very tired interior in dire need of a refurbishment. Filthy shower, dirty walls in the room (including a little blood spatter in one place), lots of damp stains (floor and ceiling) and mould. Cracked tiles all through bathroom. Broken toilet roll holder above poorly patched holes from a previously broken toilet roll holder. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water, but tiny shower head and narrow over-bath shower space (hit my elbows on the walls a lot). Comfy king sized bed with lots of pillows. Gorgeous looking hotel corridors with high ceilings. Aircon worked well. Nice big windows in my room, but the blinds on one of them were broken. Cracked shelf in the fridge. Within earshot of trains and trams late into the evening.
