        I am an 83 year old long retired cop in Epworth Hospital awaiting vascular surgery this afternoon at the hands of Mr. Milne. After reading the earlier Review I am compelled to write of my own very satisfying consultation with the Surgeon. I arrived here yesterday by Air Ambulance from Mildura to be attended to by Mr. Milne. A few hours later he attended my bedside for our first consultation. His gentle and reassuring attitude and his ability to explain my problems and the procedures he proposed to undertake in a way I could understand, lets me approach this surgery with greater confidence. I must hasten to also add that his professional and bedside mannerism were the best I have ever encountered. I have no doubt I share these sentiments with many, many of his patients, both past and present.
