In 2006 Ihad my left hand thumb torn off at the base in a work accident. Doctor Burt was the surgeon who replanted my thumb. A very calm , compassionate and competent man. I can't remember thanking him. Thank you, Doctor Burt.

Botched breast augmentation, dishonest and unhelpful. I was 20 years old and had breast asymmetry. It was severe enough that I could have had help from Medicare. James Burt said if I wanted to do it through Medicare I would need to find the item number. I didnt know what that meant and I was desperate to improve my breasts so asked to pay privately. Years later and after consults with other surgeons, I have been told that finding an item number was his responsibility. The surgery was a disaster. He used two different sized implants and placed one under the muscle and one over the muscle. This didnt improve my breasts and actually made them more difficult to conceal. They had capsular contracture, because he used the recalled implants by allergan. To fix this, he charged me full price again. My breasts were left misshapen and should have had a lift. He replaced the capsulated implants with the same brand that were recalled. It ended up with capsules again. I hid my chest for years until I worked up the courage to see another surgeon. She has performed multiple surgeries to correct my botched surgery from James Burt. My new surgeon has used better implants, lifted my breasts and I havent had any troubles with capsules. Its cost me a lot of money and I wish I had researched harder.
