Dr. Christine Thevathasan

Dr Shami has been my gynaecologist for approx 2 years now. I moved from the UK in 2020, with history of laporoscopies and stage 4 endometriosis. I originally saw Dr Shami in the public system but switched to private due to the ridiculous wait times in the public. If you are trying to find a saving grace with your endometriosis or other gynaecological issues, I urge you to see Dr Shami. She validates you, helps you understand the condition, is thoughtful and explains to you clearly and gives you the time you deserve. I had my surgery a few days back, and although Im sore and recovering I can notice a difference in the area my main pain was. She explained that surgery isnt the be all and end all, but she did everything should could and even visited me the next day on her day off to see how I was and explained what she found/done. Dr Shami, there will never be enough words in the world to thank you for your service. I know you say its just your job but youve really changed my life, even if I continue with pain, your support and guidance really makes a difference. Thank you so much, and thank you for the continued study you do to help those suffering with endometriosis. And anyone questioning whether to go private over public, Id highly recommend, the level of care you receive far exceeds the public system. Again thank you to the walking Angel that is Dr Shami x

Could not be happier with Dr Shami and my experience so far at MiGynae. After several previous bad experiences with other gynaecologists and specialists I really feel like Dr Shami took the time to hear my concerns and issues and worked with me to come up with a holistic treatment plan rather than talking at me. I also really appreciate how consent based and trauma informed she is with examinations- something Ive never had anywhere else before. She is also excellent at communicating with the rest of my current medical team and I do not have to chase up correspondence or results. I really feel like I am in good hands with a doctor who is passionate about what she does and has such a genuine care for her patients.

The receptionist Tina helped me so much more then words can describe, she is compassionate and empathic and really listened to my difficult situation and medical condition in difficult circumstances, she helped turn a difficult situation to a more bearable one, I can't thank her and the team enough I'm forever grateful for your support.

Anisha Sarkar made my daughter, feel at ease and comfortable from the minute we met her. She was so reassuring, empathetic, passionate and professional. The surgery was explained clearly in a way that made her feel comfortable. The operation was a super success and the follow up care from Anisha was perfect. We couldnt recommend her highly enough.
