Hallam North Road Carpark (Lysterfield Park)

If you look at this place from satellite there are 300+ parking spaces but the gates are locked so there are only about 16 space :( Don't understand why the gates are locked!

Nice place to go for a walk. Plenty of trees and greenery. Can get quite a different terrain - some slopes, some flat parts. Lots of kangaroos to see in the evening. Parking may be a problem as they have only a small car park but there doesn't seem to be too many people coming here. There is also a toilet nearby. We haven't tried cycling here but it should be very good for mountain bikes. There is also a walk to a quarry which we haven't tried.

Enough spaces for walkers, hikers and mtb riders. Easy to access. Can get a bit crowded on weekends if you're keen on a ride but go before 8am or you'll be parking further towards the main road. If you're up early, slow down in case kangaroos feel like saying hi. Speed limit is 50km/hr, I'd go slower early morning in case I get surprise furry friends crossing the road.
