When quoting, Owen warned me he was not "cheap" because he only did quality work. The quote was at the higher end, but we were pedantic about design and detail. What we got was a first class, well finished result and he and his co-worker Liam cleaned up and vacuumed before they left. Our new balustrade looks fabulous, and Owen was thorough, regularly checking that we were happy with the job as it progressed. It wasn't an easy job because we are renovating an old, unique home, and nothing is square. He found a way around every challenge and the result is impressive. I have included reno progression "before and after pics" to show the standard of the finish.

Spoke to Owen on phone whose manner initially was very abrupt and basically had a mentality that everyone was a tyre kicker in his own words. I said we were genuine and he settled down. Owen came to site and everything was frenetic and rush rush. Owen thinks because he builds stairs everyday that everyone else does as well. His manner was arrogant and rude. However, we got through the consult on site and due to limited options were prepared to use him pending feedback as to the style and cost. I received a text that afternoon saying 5k cash or 5500 with gst. On the ph he had said initially 3000 and I simply asked what was the difference in the quote so we knew what we were getting. I got no response back and I asked him to ring me back and got no call back. I then tried to ring him and hed already blocked my number! And then hed sent me a rude response on hipages stating get someone else to do your job. Weve moved on. In conclusion, Owen didnt want anyone asking any questions and wanted to do a quick in out rush job and how dare the customer ask a question about what they were getting. Steer clear. The company is too busy and any accepted work would be a rush job. Based on his lack of customer service can only conclude the workmanship would have been sub standard!! Needs someone else dealing with customers whilst he builds the stairs if he can.
