I recently visited Dr. Bashar, a general practitioner at Ballarat Doctors, and I must say that my overall experience was positive. Dr. Bashar struck me as a highly competent and caring professional who went above and beyond to address my health concerns. Firstly, Dr. Bashar's medical knowledge and expertise were evident from the moment I stepped into the consultation room. He actively listened to my symptoms and medical history, asking pertinent questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of my condition. His ability to quickly analyze my symptoms and provide an accurate diagnosis was impressive. Dr. Bashar; also took the time to explain the medical jargon in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that I fully understood the treatment plan and any necessary medications. One aspect that I particularly appreciated was his attentiveness and genuine concern for my well-being. Dr. Bashar actively engaged in the conversation, patiently addressing all of my questions and alleviating any concerns I had. His empathetic approach made me feel comfortable and confident in their care, fostering a strong doctor-patient relationship. I would highly recommend Dr. Bashar for any medical concerns.

Not happy. Was specifically advised by the agency that I would only need a 15 minute appointment for my commercial licence renewal. I questioned this and it was confirmed as correct. Drove 130 km round trip only to find that this was not true and I needed to book again at a later date. No attempt to accommodate the situation I hate incompetence and wouldnt tolerate it in myself let alone a dr surgery. Apologies not forthcoming. Be careful when going to a Dr. many of them have poor medical knowledge also. This is a serious sad fact. Since when ever can anyone EVER overdose on vitamin B12!!! Its impossible. Nothing more to say on this - never going back thats all

Recently had the pleasure of interacting with Nada at the reception of Ballarat Doctor, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Nada's warm and welcoming demeanor instantly put me at ease as soon as I walked through the door. Excellent service.

I was seeing Dr. Lakmal De Silva because I was told he is the main doctor who prescribes CBD Oil in Ballarat. Then, recently, he started charging a fee for ALL his consultations. (This is supposed to be a bulk billing practice.) He then refused to see me as I was concerned about the side effects of one of the medications he prescribed for me. I told him I got the second opinion of another doctor (via telehealth at another pactice in Melbourne) who said I don't need to be on this medication, and Dr Lakmal De Silva then told me he couldn't see me if I was seeing "multiple" doctors. I again emphasised that I had only seen one other doctor for a second opinion. But he then refused to see me and sent me a letter saying he could no longer see me due to a conflict of interest. So I saw another doctor at the same practice and she said I do not need to be on this medication if I do not wish to, as my test results show it is not necessary at this point in time. But now I need to see two doctors at this practice, as there is only one other doctor, Dr Vani Peddi, who prescribes CBD Oil, and her books are full. So she can only see me for prescribing CBD Oil. Since that time, my stress levels, which were already quite high since our move to Ballarat, have increased significantly. So today, I saw my new doctor for chest pains, which I've experienced since Dr Lakmal De Silva refused to see me just over three weeks ago. Moving is quite stressful alone, without having to deal with situations such as this, when it is now harder to find a suitable doctor due to a shortage of healthcare practitioners in regional areas in Australia.
