Bunnings Kids Playground

Recommended for ages 4-12 years old, the Kids Playground within Bunnings Warehouse in Moorabbin is located at the north east of the warehouse. It's not a large playground but is well designed and thoroughly engages the kids. Whenever I see this playground it always reminds me of a Praying Mantis where kids climb up stairs in towers at either end and enter into the body and head or tail of the Praying Mantis and scramble through from one end to the other with lookout points along the way. It's very bright and colourful (yellow, green, blue and red) and the kids seem to really enjoy it. While it's fully fenced and fitted with child-safe locks, as the playground is unsupervised, children must be supervised by a Parent or Guardian at all times. In this regard, as in most other Bunnings Warehouses, the Kids Playground at Moorabbin is located adjacent to the Hardware Cafe so parents can sit and have a coffee and snack while watching the kids play. The kid's play area at Bunnings Moorabbin is a great touch. On weekends Bunnings also provides various sorts of kids activity such D.I.Y. Workshops, where theyll make fun, creative/craft projects like toolboxes, toy trucks, planter boxes and painting projects including face painting. The theme varies from week to week from garden and woodworking to paint, mosaics and recycled wall art. These workshops are free for children over the age of 5 and they must be accompanied by an adult. As numbers are limited, bookings are recommended. To top this off, across the year including Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Easter and Christmas, they run special family nights packed with fun activities such as kids craft, D.I.Y. Workshops.
