        Interesting place for a short stop in the forest. At this point Tarago River has been dammed. The weir has created a large pool of water, which is no doubt teaming with life. Birdsong was strong in the area when I visited. Lots of Insects and Spiders to be found. The short vehicle access trail that allows some parking is steep.
