French Island Eco Inn

This is a wonderful place to stay and discover and wonder around the beautiful nature of french island! Yuko and Phil, owners of the place, are wonderful people and looked after us very well while also giving us lot of tips! Cottage and the main house are well looked after and the view over the water is truly unique! The dinner was also fabulous and home-made. Definitely recommended for nature lovers!

Our third time at the eco Inn, this time with extended family. Beautiful property, clean and comfortable rooms, great food and friendly hosts who go out of their way to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. Caught calamari off the jetty only a short walk away and spotted quite a few koalas in the front drive. Will be coming back again for sure.

We showed up unannounced via a track we had found on the beach and entered the property via a back way next to a paddock with goats in it. It was marked with a Private sign. We had intended to ask about accommodation as we had trouble locating a front entrance (we were on foot with our young children in tow). The person who met us was incredibly hostile. He insisted that the sign had a number to call (which it did not), and then proceeded to tell us that other property owners would likely have greeted us with a gunshot over our heads, despite us profusely apologising. We left the way we came. We appreciate the warnings about the snakes, but if this is how he treats enquiries, then he can forget about a booking from us.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful property. Great hosts that made us feel at home. We enjoyed their company and hospitality as they looked after our every need. The stay helped us to de stress and detox from the busy city life. We were given great recommendations for bike riding in the area. There are bikes on the property for guests to use. We were spoilt by Yuko and Phils great cooking. I can not compliment them enough! There were plenty of opportunity for bird watching and close ups with goats and koalas. This is a great place to experience the off grid life on French Island!
