Outstanding surgeon with impeccable bed side manners. Performed a full Sternotomy to repair a prolapse Mitral Valve. From the initial consultation to post surgery, Dr Mitnovetski displayed full empathy and was clearly well respected amongst the wonderful Nurses in ICU and CCU ward. I would highly recommend consultation with this wonderful person to anyone requiring a Cardiac Thoracic Surgeon.

My husband was referred to Sergei after finding out he had a 5.3cm aortic aneurysm. His appointment was so quickly scheduled and from the day we met him we went home feeling at ease and in good hands. From the initial appointment on a Wednesday and Sergei seeing that my husband mentally wasnt coping with the diagnosis he had him admitted to hospital for surgery on the Sunday. AMAZING. This amazing surgeon rang us personally to organise the surgery 4 times in those 3 days and we feel so blessed and extremely grateful my husband had been treated so well from such a lovely caring surgeon. Thank you again Sergei, we were told by many of the staff at peninsula private what a fantastic caring human you were but we now know first hand how lucky we were

I would like to express my gratitude to Dr Mitnovestski for not only his life saving surgical skills, but his professional, friendly and calming manner. I didn't know that I had serious heart problems when I went in to hospital that day. But when Dr Mitnovetski explained to me what was going on and what he needed to do? I was calm immediately! I even wrote to the hospital and told them that their staff could learn a thing or two from Dr Mitnovetski, about how to speak to and treat patients. Dr Mitnovetski is not only a Brilliant surgeon; He is an absolute Gentleman and a fine human being. I would also like to mention that the follow up from Dr Mitnovetski and his Practice Manager Oksana Mitnovetski is second to noone. It was worth having the heart attack just to meet these people! Thankyou to the Mitnovetski team! And finally in closing, I read the previous review that states that Dr Mitnovetski said that he would Charge $50.000 to do an operation. This is totally inaccurate! The Private Hospitals might charge those fees but not the surgeons. I would hope that the person that wrote the review retracts her comments. I realize that people are emotional when it comes to major surgeries, especially with their loved ones. But that is no excuse to make false statements! Once again.
