Michael Hase – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

I saw Dr Hase less than a week ago about a wisdom tooth and had an experience that I still complain about a week later. I am TERRIFIED of dentists and all my fears seemed to be justified when it came to this appointment. The appointment was only 10 minutes long but 8 of those minutes were spent telling me all the worse things that could happen. He tried to tell me I was going to suffer more bruising because I was a redhead, making me further scared of something I was already dreading. When it came to paying for the consultation I found out I had been lied to about how much the appointment would cost, being charged much more, and told that I would need to wait several days for a recipet to arrive by mail as they only did things by paper (which meant writting my card details down, which i was uncomfortable with but too scared to say anything after the appointment). The quote I was given for the removal was just beyond a joke. At very minimum it was $600 a tooth, not including any hospital costs. I wasnt even aware I needed two of the wisdom teeth removed, as another dentist said they were fine, but Dr Hase seems to have just taken the extreme on everything. The over all apathy expressed by the staff has only made my fear of the dentist worse, and I'm sorry that which ever dentist I go to next that is going to have to deal with my newly revitalised fear.
