Mr Stephen Farrell- Parathyroid, Thyroid, Adrenal Surgeon

This year I was diagnosed with thyroid issues and required urgent total thyroidectomy. I had seen 5 different surgeons before seeing Mr Farrell but from the first second I knew he was the one I could trust. He made time to see me quickly and did the operation in less than 2 weeks after my appointment. Beautiful person, professional surgeon with a big heart. He has the best bed side manner and he makes sure his patients are very well looked after. I am a singer and was worried about loosing my voice, he saved both my life and my voice. Mr Farrell and his amazing secretory Caroline, continue to support me through out my recovery. I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to be his patient. I recently had a parathyroidectomy with Mr Farrell for hyperparathyroidism. The surgery went extremely well and I am delighted with the outcome and I feel fantastic. The surgical scar is minimal. I would have no hesitation recommending Mr Farrell to anyone needing thyroid surgery.

Operation went well and I healed quickly for a great outcome. Well done Stephen. Perhaps for someone facing a complete thyroid removal I should add that you can feel very unwell and lethargic afterwards, In my case I was operated on nearly 12 months ago. I went from an energetic outdoor person to a person who now spends most of my time sleeping and doing small jobs when my energy levels return, this despite my medication being progressively increased over that period. Maybe my case is not the norm but it is worth considering if you are contemplating this type of operation..
