I love my rose tinted glassesI feel like a rockstar. Recommend for anybody wanting niche and chic alternative eyewear.

I can understand the 5-star reviews, the frames are exemplary. My experience with Chris however, less so. My frames were delayed. Okay, fair enough, delays happen. I'd requested no filters on the lenses. Past experience proved it difficult to prevent perpetually smeared lenses when there's a myriad of filters. My Gertrude Street Optical glasses were perpetually smeared despite my attempting to successfully clean them. I persisted for a few months after receiving my glasses before venturing back. I explained my issue and politely requested a new cleaning cloth, thinking that may help. Chris gave me a new cloth. He advised not to use a lense cleaner but a dry cloth only. I duly took note and thanked him. Here's the ... but. Chris' friendly, professional demeanor evaporated. Fast. There was definitely a vibe: here's your cloth - some advice, now get out. Handing me the replacement cleaning cloth Chris' expression quickly set in stone; a most discernable change in demeanor. When the new cloth failed to shift now constant smudges on my glasses I went to another optometry establishment. The Carlton Optometry College. My lenses were replaced and it was confirmed (contrary to my request), there were certainly filters on the lenses. Great frames, definitely. The choice at Gertrude Street Optical is breathtaking - outstanding, even. I'd recommend Gertrude Street Optical but my own experience has proven expensive and ultimately, most unwelcoming.

My experience is definitely resounding with all of the others mentioned - Chris at Gertrude Street Optical is awesome. My eye exam/check up was effortless with complete professionalism and he even gave great suggestion and perspective for my new frames. Truly the best service!
