I have been lucky enough to have been under Dr Emily Olives care twice in the last two years. Both of our sons were born healthy and happy and I was back bouncing around medication free within a week of both deliveries. Emily is kind, thoughtful and an absolute superstar of a surgeon and has the most wonderful team supporting her. Dr Emily Olive, is a superior obstetrician. I can not speak more highly of her and her team Ive was first recommended Emily by a GP friend of ours for the birth of my second child (My 1st having been a difficult birth resulting in a c-section). I had only recently arrived in Australia 2010, She instantly understood my concerns and reassuringly we talked through my concerns and options. We opted for a planned C-section. Throughout journey Dr Emily Olive was on hand to discuss any medical problems I may have been facing. On the day, her and the team were friendly, approachable and supportive in what can be an overwhelming situation. I definitely felt I had the best possible care. Our baby was born healthy and thought there was recovery time required within 4-6wks I felt back to my old self. When we recently fell pregnant with our 3rd child, Emily was the only person I ever wanted to return too. Being an older woman (now in My 40s) I was aware that this could be a more complicated pregnancy. Emily and her team were again knowledgeable and supportive. Thankfully this was an uncomplicated pregnancy. The Birth process and delivery was excellent as I had hoped and wanted. The St Vs medical staff were excellent in allowing myself and our baby skin to skin time post delivery.
