The loveliest surgeon, he did exploratory & reconstruction surgery on my right wrist for my torn scapho-lunate ligament. I had a nerve block so was awake for the procedure, it was a super fun experience, the anaesthetist, James & I were all the same age and they got me to pick the music we listened to... on his follow-up round the next morning I met his delightful daughter... such a lovely homey touch bringing her along to the hospital with him. My wrist continues to be super stable many many years after the surgery...

Smashed my wrist into a thousand pieces overseas. He drilled bolts into my wrist and fixed everything. Everyone said I would get extreme arthritis within 7 years. 16 years later and my wrist is strong as ever playing high grade tennis.

What a wonderful and exceptional doctor Mr Thomas is. I saw him after I broke my finger at basketball (not realising it was broken for 3 month!). He thoroughly discussed options for treatment (splint or surgery, conclusion was surgery) and explained each step involved. Nothing was rushed. Surgery was scheduled a few days later and all went well. I'm in recovery now and will update, but I wanted to share that I found Mr Thomas to be an absolute professional as well as skilfull, kind and compassionate. His team (Gemma etc. ) at St Vincent's Private Hospital are fantastic. Thank you so much.

Doctor Thomas is exceptional. He looked carefully at my MRI & walked me through the scan & extent of the injury. He gave me a lot of detail and helpful exercises to do. The past months have been extremely tender & difficult for me, especially because I didnt really know how bad or whats actions were going to help or hinder the healing. I was grateful to have seen Doctor James Thomas!
