We have been trying to visit squires for some time, being delayed by circumstances, such as floods, just to name one reason. We were absolutely delighted to have lunch there a week ago, taking a visitor to our region with us. It was a beautiful day, and delightful sitting by the river. The food and the wine were excellent, as was the lemon tart, and great service. My only disappointment was that I could not enjoy a coffee with my dessert! I could not believe that coffee was not an optionI would even have accepted an instant one if that was all on offer (yuck)! This is very unusual for a place that serves food. Maybe something squires should think about rectifying.

Owner went out his way to make us feel comfortable, we had no booking and a dog on a Sunday where clearly every table was booked. But within minutes he had us happily seated with the world's largest dog water bowl and some bean bags on the grass if we felt like them. Platter was delicious and grabbed a bottle on the Pinot noir which was phenomenal. Lovely staff, beautiful Wine and fantastic food. No wonder it is fully booked. Thankyou
