Dr Michael Murphy

In 2001 my husband Greg had neurosurgery by Mr. Murphy to treat his Epilepsy that he had been inflicted with since he was a teenager. He was subsequently cured of his seizures and now takes no medication at all. It has changed his life enabling him to do things he might not have previously been able to do. Eg. hike the Kakoda Track. Thank you Mr Murphy.

Mr. M. Murphy is a wonderful and truly world class surgeon. Like someone said, beyond brilliant and caring. He removed a tumor from T6/T7 from me (2014, St Vincent Hosp, Melbourne). In that regard, I am perfect now. A ton of Thanks to him, his reception staff and surgery team. The neurosurgeons and cardiothoracic surgeons have so much power and skills in their hands. YET, he is one of the humblest people (let alone Surgeons) I have come across in my life.

I am from Cairns, North Queensland and I began having noctural seizures in 2011 at the age of 24. It took 3 years of trialling different medications and the onset of seizures while I was awake for them to discover a cyst, on my front right temporal lobe. Neurosurgeon Dr Michael Murphy removed it successfully at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne- in April 2016. The cyst was benign, I have been seizure free since then, and I have been so inspired by his dedication to his practice that I have changed my career course into Paramedical Science- which I believe I was born for. Thank God for Dr Michael Murphy.
