Incredibly thoughtful and kind, and listened to all my concerns. All the staff were lovely. Would highly recommend Dr Whitehead.

Similar sentiments to other reviewers. Cold, dismissive and belittling when I asked questions. More worryingly gave me misinformation that the sonographer baulked at. If anyone has a recommendations for eeg freezing that would be mostwelcome. e

Echo others negative experiences. Felt like I was wasting her time investigating egg freezing and future family planning. Seems like cis hetero nuclear couples who want kids right now is her specialty. Receptionists took over 3 weeks to get medical records sent to my GP. Very hard to deal with.

Dr Whitehead was the Dr we ended up seeing through The Fertility Centre. She seemed nice but reserved. It was out first round of IVF and we did get pregnant but sadly went through our 2nd missed miscarriage. As this was during the height of the pandemic last year all that was offered was phone appointments. After doing ALOT of research on recurrent miscarriage, treatments and tests I rang and spoke to Dr Whitehead. The phone call was under 3 minutes and she was very abrupt and straight to the point but order some tests for me to have done. I got those done and didn't hear anything back, so I rang the clinic and the booked in another phone appoinemt with Dr Whitehead to discuss the results. I was left feeling very disappointed and not listened to. Again the phone call I had was less than 3 minutes and she was quite dismissive when I tried to ask questions in relation to information I had researched. Due to a recent diagnosis of Adenomyosis and the information I have received, from my Gynaecological team after recent surgery, there is proven success results from doing a long-term GnRH agonist pre-treatment leading into the next IVF cycle along with a Frozen transfer. There are proven results that those who have gone through recurrent miscarriages have benefited from this treatment and have had a successful live birth. When I tried to mention this to Dr Whitehead she immediately shut me down and said "No it won't work, we just need to tweek the medication and get more eggs". I was quite taken back because whilst we didn't get a huge amount of eggs, due to a lower medicated dose so I wouldn't develop OHSS, it only takes one and we had that one good embryo that was transferred and took. The problem is I can't hold a pregnancy which makes me wonder how retrieving more eggs is going to stop another miscarriage. My most recent miscarriage was a very traumatic experience and I'm wanting to do everything I can to try and prevent it from happening again. As I mentioned before I felt very let down after all this research I had done because I was actually really positive that this is an avenue that could have been taken. Since then my Husband and I decided to seek a second opinion with someone who specialises in the conditions I have (PCOS, Endo & Adeno) and who deals with recurrent miscarriages. We are very happy with our new specialist, although it is a full paying clinic, and they have spoken of their concern to the approach of Dr Whitehead. They also don't understand why more eggs weren't collected, seeing I have PCOS, I should have had more than 5. Overall I wouldn't recommend Dr Whitehead for IVF treatment.
