Dr David Cunnington

I found David's approach efficient, thorough and holistic. He is really passionate about sleep! Having had insomnia for years I was used to people minimising the issue or suggesting quick fixes. It's a complex problem and David really investigated my situation and got to the root of the issue, thereby improving sleep. I highly recommend this Dr.

David said that I did not have OSA, and when I raised the concern of the position of my jaws, he claimed that mine were not like those of a person with OSA. Yet, my maxillofacial surgeon diagnosed me with severely retrusive jaws, and performed double jaw surgery including 2cm advancement of my lower jaw. In a follow up sleep study, it was found that my AI had fallen from over 50 to 20. Of course, there are many confounders here, and sometimes I wonder if the effect is merely a placebo, but everyone around me reports to me that I am less tired, more energetic, and have greater vitality for life. I am giving David a four star review out of respect for the difficulty involved in making judgements of patients with SDB.

When l met Dr Cunnington he requested l do a sleep study test as l showed all the symptoms for having sleep apnea, when the results came in he was right. He went on to explain & give me some really Good sound advice which l followed over the years. Recently when he saw that l had shown signs of improvement he ordered another sleep study test & l was no longer required to continue to use the sleep apnea machine which has been just over 2years. I am glad to have been referred to him as he has always had my best interest over the years to which l can honestly say that Dr Cunnington & his Staff have always treated me with respect & care.
