Dinner plains Dog sled

In making the booking I asked them if its ok for my wife whos currently pregnant to go on the ride as it was primarily for her. They took my deposit anyways and then refused a refund after saying no. Extremely unethical practice.

For an unplanned activity, my dog loving little girl who's 2 and my son who's 3 had the best time! Bree and Jess were amazing to deal with especially with two toddlers who didn't wanna share the sled. But eventually got moving and had the ride of their lives! Love how all the dogs are also rescue dogs, so glad the money was going to a good cause. We hope many more people book and support this business. Fantastic experience including a sled tour and petting session with the dogs afterwards. On the tour we meandered more often than we ran, but it was far from boring and the dogs antics were very entertaining. The sled is cosy and although the weather wasn't too bad for us, I can imagine you would stay quite warm even in poor weather conditions. (Note, if your tour is on a buggy due to low snow cover, you are basically on a bench seat open to the elements. So rug up if it is cold/windy/raining/snowing!!) The guide was experienced and shared a lot of knowledge about the dogs and dog sledding. Many of the dogs have been rescued and given a second chance. We had to change our booking several times due to COVID restrictions, lockdowns etc and in the end our tour was at Wire Plain (Mt Hotham) rather than Dinner Plain due to lack of snow. The admin team was fantastic to deal with throughout and happy to accommodate our requirements where possible. There is parking, toilets, picnic tables and a small toboggan run close by at Wire Plain.
