        Nice little monument to commemorate the first powered flight in Australia, piloted by Harry Houdini in 1910. I did not know about this before visiting Diggers Rest, so it was a nice little piece of history trivia.

        Inadequate lighting at night for memorial statue. Small plaque and hard to read for people with bad or poor eye sight.

        A couple of information plaques and an abstract aircraft mounument to a little know piece of aviation history. The first powered flight in Australia happened in Sydney a few months before Houdini, but that one crashed. Houdini's flight proably more relevant as the first CONTROLLED flight.
