Bambra Cemetery is on the land of Wadawurrung traditional owners. The yard was reserved in 1866, with the earliest burial in 1868. It's a small boneyard, surrounded by a tall hedge of old trees, with a standard farm gate at the front. Parking is on the dirt road out front. The path is unpaved and on an incline at the entry so could be difficult for people with limited mobility. There is a bin for rubbish, and some bench seats with tables, and shade under the trees that former the boundary, but no drinking water or facilities of any kind. The yard is well kept. There are historic graves dating back to the 19th century, a few have been cleaned to make them more readable while others are gradually returning to nature.
