As UK owners of an Australian property, we engaged M&Z Lawyers to sell our house in Melbourne. We selected MZ Lawyers from a recommendation from our accountant, and the experience gained from one of their lawyers (Zamir Hameed) whose earlier experience was gained from working within government taxation circles. M&Z lawyers guided us successfully through the procedures faced by foreign owners and the tax implications including Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Foreign Withholding Tax with selling our property. Although we were living in the UK at the time of the house sale, communication with M&Z Lawyers by email and phone was authoritative and quick. MZ helpfully guided us through the many forms linked with selling our property and interfaced with the Real Estate agent to coordinate the sale. We found MZ Lawers to be very pleasant and results oriented and as a result we employed them to undertake further unrelated work on our behalf, which has been successfully concluded. Like our accountants we recommend M&Z Lawyers for conveyancing and other legal work.
