Fantastic quiet river

A great camping area with plenty of space. Fire allowed but youll need to either get your own firewood or take a drive upstream and hunt for firewood. Can be accessed by sedan. River is clean and suitable for a dip; especially early in the morning when the water is a bit chilly. No drinking water available. About 20 minutes drive to closest town. Make sure to go prepared. Drop toilet available and usually is not that clean which is typical of all camping sites (I.e. mostly campers fault). Driving upstream there are a few more spots with limited space for camping. You may get your 4x4 for a drive in the mountains.

A great place for free camping. Dogs allowed. Plenty of sites to choose from. Bring your own fire wood. Cutting down trees on site is not permitted. River is clean and clear unless it rains, then turns to mud because of recent fires and erosion. Platypus and water dragon seen near swimming hole.
