My son loves learning to fly at Great Southern Flying School ! We have always found Shane and Murray to be very friendly, proffesional, thorough and always very encouraging. It is obvious that they love teaching their students to fly. I cannot recomend them enough.

My first interaction with GSFS was an initial phone call with Murray and it bought me to tears when he said it would be a privilege to give my son the experience of flying. Following that Shane started lessons with Luca, and over the following two years Luca looked forward to and loved every minute of his time flying with Shane. Shane was just so patient, encouraging, supportive and it literally was one of the most positive experiences of his life. I completed my Private Pilots Licence with Great Southern Flying School after completing training with 3 other flying schools. I cannot recommend Great Southern Flying School enough for anyone wishing to pursue a carrier in aviation, or just gain their pilots licence as a hobby or for fun. I completed the last 37hrs of my PPL (which was 48hrs in total on my test date) with Murray. Murray is an exceptional instructor whom customises his instructing style to each student and teaches to the highest standard, not expect anything but the highest quality from his students. No matter if you are completing your RAAUS RPC, CASA RPL, PPL, or CPL, Murray teaches and expects commercial standards, so in turn your flying skills will be at Commercial standards, meaning that when you sit your exam the flight examiner has no hesitation in passing you. Making you the safest and most professional pilots in Victoria.

Shane and Murray are both very skilled pilots and great teachers. They make learning to fly very easy and fun, they are great people and are very friendly and I dont think there is anyone I would rather learn to fly with.
