Comparing same time last year. We had a group of 8. Unfortunately the service has gone down. We had to search numerous time for a waiter to take our drink orders. There didnt seem to be value for money with the set menu and took 3 hours to complete. Not sure well be back.

I went for a weekend getaway at the hotel at Meletos known as the Farmhouse and had the most horrible stay. We went with 2 other couples for a weekend getaway. We had dinner in the restaurant. The service was good from our waitress but the food was poor. We went to the main sitting area by the fireplace in the farmhouse and were promptly told by the person at the front office ( I believe his name was Anthony) that the public sitting area would be closing at 10.30pm. At exactly 10.30pm Anthony came out of the office and told us the area was now closed. We all proceeded to my room and continued having a few drinks and chatting. To our surprise, Anthony knocked on our door and when my friend opened the door, he told her that we were not allowed to be in each others rooms and that everyone had to retire to their own room. She was shocked and said ok. A few minutes later he knocked again. This time I opened the door and was again told everyone had to retire to their room. I asked him if this was a hotel and when he replied yes, I told him that its not school camp so please dont bother us again and closed the door. We were all so shocked at the ridiculous situation we had just experienced. To our shock, he knocked again, and this time had printed the terms and conditions of guest stays which apparently specified that all guests must retire to their own rooms after 10.30pm and cannot be in other rooms. If you are looking for a normal hotel where you are not treated as a child on school camp, then stay away from this place. I have told my colleagues at work this story and everyone had the same reaction what??
