Had a parking fine that I contested as I still consider I did nothing wrong. I had photographic evidence, and expected them to reply either with evidence of their own or back down. They sent a letter basically stating I got a fine so the fine stands, which is not an argument (didn't mention my evidence of them being in the wrong) and I had to take it up in court. They also notified me if I did take it to court it would be a day off work and they would also seek all legal costs. When I raised that their review team obviously didn't review my case, the lady on the phone agreed with me saying their response made it clear they didn't review/see my evidence, but said there was nothing she could do other than go to court. Your own department admitted a mistake was made, but no option to address within council, only civil court which is a major waste of everyones time and energy. Who runs this council?? Obviously someone who doesn't have to work for a living.
