RAHU was so helpful in helping me to understand and be resourced and confident to negotiate my rental increase to a more fair and affordable rate. I could not have done it without their help.

Beware of being mislead into thinking this Union has any actual legal or professional capacity or training to advocate on behalf of renters. From my experience the group has very strong socialist & anarchist motivations. Someone reached out to me from FB to join this union while I was in the midst of a rental crisis, I had no where to turn for assistance at that point. They were unable to offer any real advice other than war cries for change, protests and demonstrations. They became very offended and begun to close ranks when I enquired as to whether they had any one within the Union who has actual legal experienced in tenancies law. It would seem to me the gang more so than union was more interested in utilising my plight to enable their far left wing political agendas, rather than being able to offer any advice or experience based in the real world. You will be made to feel very out of place if you dont believe in things like white people having to pay First Nations peoples rent. Or maybe it was white people should pay rent to indigenous people for being here. Do your due diligence and email and make calls to Tenants Victoria or getting in contact with Uniting Tenancy Support Services if you are stuck and need actual help and support. After it all, when I refused to put my name or have my testimony used as propaganda for their protests they stopped communicating with me. This is an activist group not really a union. **Update** notice how all of a sudden their was a bunch of 5 star reviews posted all within the same week? A perfect example of organised action & activism.
