Fingal Beach

Gorgeous, amazing little stretch of ocean beach. Beautiful rock formations as well.

An amazing walk with steep stairs down to the beach. Nice scenic view. Free parking area with public toilet facility. An awesome place to be. This is near to the light house.

In a nutshell, the walk is not worth it. We walked from Fingal carpark to Fingal Beach which is about 2 km of walk. The walk itself is not scenic at all. However, the first look out view is beautiful. The last stretch of 0.8 km down to the beach is not pleasant at all, esp when you are returning back. There are 427 steep steps that really tired us out. The beach itself is not pretty in comparison to other beaches nearby. It is a small beach with lots of bio debris (sea weeds and shells). And definitely not suitable for swimming.

The 700 steps down to the beach can be a challenging journey. It takes about 40 minutes if you're fit, so keep that in mind. The beach itself is small but lovely. However, the rip is strong and swimming is not recommended unless you're very experienced. It was worth the hike down from Pines Parking to see the stunning rock pools with various little creatures living in them. The rocky bits provided a unique experience as well.

Wow this is an amazing walk, The Fingal beach walk to Gunamatta beach, you need to be reasonably fit as there is a lot of steps down to the beach then up again, around 10km round trip, take plenty of water, food and most importantly insect repellent, this walk is a must do..5 Stars
