Exceland Camberwell charges 2.2x the weekly rent to alter the lease - In my case that would have come to $770 (they "kindly" reduced the fee to $544.50). While that fee is gratuitous, the amount may also be (in my opinion*) illegal according to the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, as it is clearly far above and beyond the cost of altering the lease itself (all they can legally charge for). When I informed them of this they simply said it was their policy. I would warn any prospective tenants to stay away, and any current tenants to seek legal advice should you be charged this fee, reasonable fees have been decided in past VCAT cases to be $88 (adjustable to inflation). If you are a landlord I recommend seeking an agency that is in compliance with current legislation - for obvious reasons. *I am not a lawyer and, while informed by legal advice, this review is my own personal honest opinion. I urge anyone acting upon this review to seek their own advice from a licensed lawyer, free services are available through Housing Victoria.

I have had a terrible experiences with this real estate . not only unprofessional bit also extremely dishonest..
