Lake Buffalo Nature Reserve

Playground: There are several entrances around the lake but a good children's playground (swings, slides etc..) close to the swimming foreshore area at the MAIN entrance. Restrooms: Multiple gender & disability friendly (albeit basic but clean) located off the main driveway in. Dog-friendliness: There are no rubbish bins, so scoop your poop & carry out with you to a bin at or en route home. But lots of sticks around for fetching (or keepings-off? Depends upon your doggo's persuasion) Picnic area: Ample grass area & limited but usually adequate shade from a few trees.

Amazing spot to swim and take in the Buffalo plateau. Popular spot for boating as well.

Lovely place with dam and boat ramp. Ideal for picnics. Pet friendly. I couldnt find any toilets and water fountain here.

A lovely reserve with areas set aside for swimming and also a boat ramp with very easy access. The lake and surrounds are very picturesque with Mount Buffalo as a backdrop. Toilet facilities are good.
