This gentleman is an excellent painter with a great work ethic. I hired him to paint the exterior of my house and my timber fence. The sidewalk was stained very little. I told him not to worry because it wasn't much. The next day he had to start at 7:30 am. At 6:30 a.m I heard a noise in front of my house. I looked outside and saw him cleaning the stain on the sidewalk. He finished the job in time .The price was logicol. And my house was looked like brand new . After seeing all painting jobs Jim completed in the local area, I was confident he was the right person for the job. Based on his advice, I had all of the rotted timber replaced before commencing the works which was the best advice ever. His patience to help me out with the colour scheme, along with his professionalism reassured me I made the right decision. I was quite pleased that I was going to have a painter that was local to me, keep the funds in the area, close to where he was going to do his job, etc. I cant tell you how disappointed that I am with the job that was done with the external painting of my home. I was quoted for the front fence and garage to be painted and he did not do this as he said that it was too hard and he would have to cut down the plants of they would be covered in paint. I was not offered refund on the quote. When the area under the back caranda was painted it was raining and the paint bed from the veranda posts onto the decking and the decking was splattered with paint. Took over 10 hours to clean this up. After he had finished the front sanded the front veranda, he walked on this with paint on the soles of his shoes so it had to be sanded again The inside of the windows were never finished, only the undercoat was applied, he painted over wood rot, the barge boards were not completely painted, there are paint spatters all over paths and walkways. The trims did not seem to be undercoated properly as the final coat is uneven and streaky. Trees were ruined as branches were broken of willy-nilly. They could have been tied back. He washed his brushed over the front path and now the bricks have to be replaced. I could not in all conscience make any recommendation. Service: Exterior painting
