Kin Makers Respite Care and Disability Services

The worst respite services I have ever placed my son in. They lie to your face when you ask whether your son had a good day. Very unreliable with constant no staff available. They don't cope well with challenging behaviours. If you look them up on Facebook they are all about the image. Why would a staff member have they're own child on shift when they know they have a customer with challenging behaviours? Don't go with them. They aren't worth the time and effort, they left us in the dry, knowing full well it's hard to find a descent respite for my son.

Our family has had a bad experience with this organisation and do not recommend. They do not work well with children with disabilities and those in wheelchairs. They will lie to you and are very dishonest. They will say that your child has had a great day when they didn't. They will then slowly start to say that they don't have the capacity to look after them. Be very careful of this organisation. They are a family run organisation who are all about the image and the Facebook page, not about the client. They will lock the client out of bedrooms and certain areas of the house

My daughter has a lot of trouble socialising and communicating with people. Her support worker has helped her with that greatly, she is kind and thoughtful and my daughter enjoys having her here every fortnight

Very happy to have found Kin Makers Respite Care. They are nearby and the house is excellent. Michelle and Rexy as well as the rest of the team are dedicated and caring towards my son. Must add that at all times they are extremely easy to discuss any issues and always very obliging.
