Cheong Yew Mun Dr

Dr Cheong is disrespectful and condescending. He has been seeing my elderly father for years. When I went to a appointment with him, Dr Cheong was arrogant and banged on about irrelevant rubbish. He has seen my father at least 3 times with old medical history with no attempt to update medical records, but still takes his money. I would not recommend this man looking after anyone you care about.

A close family friend had a terrible experience with this dr recently. He was unhelpful, rude and arrogant...speaking over him rather than listening. He was then told he didn't have time to discuss the matter further. I can't believe there are drs like this still practicing. Avoid at all costs.

This has been written with a heavy heart (metaphorically speaking) after a number of consultations with Yew Mun Cheong. While my partner and I are grateful that Yew Mun Cheong has placed a stent in his heart, the following consultations are stressful and please note that this is being expressed with extreme mildness. The consultation starts very business like, but it quickly deescalate to a point where Yew Mun Cheong is considerably condescending, that he is talking to his patients as a defendant in a class action. Everything that is being discussed is like he is protecting himself in a legal fashion. A classic example is his fee to write a report to VicRoads in keeping a certain license standard. There is a $250.00 plus fee for the actual report to be written and what makes this worse is the office administration where this gets dragged on for weeks if not months because the he and his administration fails to notify me with a simple telephone call that there are certain requirements needed before he can provide a report that this is all prepaid. All this gets discussed in his ten-minute consultation costing $165.00. Mind you after paying for these tests myself, I then have to have another consultation with him to finalise the report having a totalling up costs exceeding the one thousand dollar range. This is vastly becoming a money grabbing extortion practise preying on the vulnerable whom just wants to get their lives back together and work just to provide for the families. Yew Mun Cheong shows blatant disrespect to the financial issues the family has to endure, his staff are terrible administrators where they do not understand there is a time frame and the more time wasted means more time out of work, it looks like they have an extortion racket in the making that is totally legal. In conclusion to all of this Yew Mun Cheong is a brilliantly qualified surgeon in the field of cardiology, however he has this insatiable deity complex with a greed for money without any care what-so-ever towards his patients. A final remark to everyone is to keep yourself fit, those whom are obese, please diet for your health's sake so this monster of surgeon will not have a business. One out of five is way to much for this person.
