Captains Creek Organic Wines

There are many family-owned vineyards tucked away on country roads that are worth a visit, and Captains Creek is one of them. We had the charcuterie lunch for two, with an extra cheese, and it was an unexpected treat. The ingredients were locally sourced and Greg and Carolyn - the owners of this family farm - were well versed in the who, what, and where of each dish. They are also lovely people, there's none of the hard sell I've experienced at other wineries here, which is both appreciated and makes for a more mellow time. I paired my lunch with the Pinot Noir and it went down very nicely, with my only frustration that as the designated driver, I couldn't indulge in more.

My wife loves her wine but is highly allergic to some of the nasty ingredients/preservatives in current winemaking processes, and so it was such a delight to find Captains Creek Organic Wines! After having tasted most of their wines, my wife didnt experience any allergic reaction .. so we bought 2 dozen bottles and had them shipped back to Queensland. While we were there, our hosts (and owners) Doug and Carolyn kindly answered all our questions about the history of the property and surrounding area. We decided to stop for lunch and dined on the best vege platter weve ever tasted. Quite extraordinary! Hospitality was fantastic on hearing wed never tasted chestnuts, Doug roasted a few for us to taste. So kind! If youre ever in the Blampied area, and even if youre not, you must visit Captains Creek Organic Wines its one of the highlights of my two weeks in Victoria. Thoroughly recommended.

A stunning spot with some fantastic wines! Their platters were sensational, supporting a lot of local businesses and show casing what the area has to offer.

such a welcoming and warm experience. The staff are so endearing and passionate. We felt so at home and the staff made sure we felt at home and welcomed. Great food, great wine, great prices and great staff. Definitely recommend (:
