Melbourne Eastside Dermatology- Blackburn

This clinic books out months in advance - I had to wait for about 3 months before I could get my first appointment after getting a GP referral. However, I think it's worth the wait as the staff are very helpful. I saw Dr Julia Rhodes before she went on maternity leave and she was helpful and patient in explaining Roaccutane. My subsequent appointments were with Dr Desmond Gan and he's also great at answering all questions. I also got my first v beam laser with Andrea - I had one consult and then the subsequent laser appointment and she was really thorough in explaining the procedure and also even recommended some skin care products.

Appears there is a 6-7 month waiting list for new appointments. I have a major flare up of dermatitis and this is an absolute joke.....where is the duty of care to see emergency patients....? Extremely dissatisfied and underwhelmed by the lack of care and compassion......hardly deserving of a 1 star rating.

I usually don't write review but I am grateful to have Dr Desmond Gan and his team to help my daughter. My daughter had a fast growing pigmented lesion and needed a surgery to get it removed. As a mother I am very worried and stressed. Dr Gan is knowledgeable and provided professional opinion to all my questions. He did not make me feel rushed and always being patience. Highly recommended!

Dr Sarah Shen is very professional, thorough, knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner, always listens very carefully to concerns and never rushes through the consultation, I would highly recommend her!!

I came in to see Doctor Gan and was so impressed by how thorough and genuine he was, the clinic is lucky to have him!
